The overpaid players of the NFL, who live in a country that allows them to make millions of dollars for throwing a ball around a field and running into each other, feel as though they’re “oppressed” and treated like “slaves.” Yeah, that’s actually been said.
Anyway, what’s worse is that they’re still trying to steal camera time by kneeling for the National Anthem, in an effort to protest “social injustice.” But what they’re doing is disrespecting our troops, our flag and this great nation, and it’s a total shame.
Thankfully, we have some youngsters out there who understand how great this country is and kneeling players of the NFL could take a few lessons from this little patriot!
Inside Edition reports:
Little Garrett might be guessing the words as he goes along, but his rendition of the national anthem is just as patriotic as it is adorable.
The 3-year-old New England Patriots fan stood proudly in the stands, belting out the “Star-Spangled Banner” ahead of the pre-season football game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Standing next to Garrett was Boston Police Department Officer Kim Tavares, who took center stage just last week to sing the anthem in the middle of Gillette Stadium.
Tavares went viral earlier this summer for a “Cop Pool Karaoke” video of her singing “God Bless America” with Officer Stephen McNulty ahead of Independence Day.
“It felt like God gave us this voice and that is the song that came to mind,” Tavares told Inside Edition.
