Last month, the original leader of the anthem-kneelers — former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick — launched a new item for sale on his apparel website: a football-style jersey that boldly stated #IMWITHKAP.
While brainless millennials bought up the jerseys as fast as they could make them, the athlete turned social justice warrior initially took heat on social media as the jersey sales were said to be going toward his foundation, which they were… but only a paltry 20 percent. That’s not a huge chunk of change considering they were selling them at $174.99 a pop.
In response to Kaepernick’s jersey, the good folks behind the official shop of Donald Trump’s website launched their own version with a contrasting message — one that proudly states they believe in standing up for the National Anthem.
New York Post reports:
Colin Kaepernick probably hasn’t clicked on the shopping cart.
A popular online Trump merchandise site is hawking “Standup for America” football jerseys, the president’s latest salvo in his war against the NFL and those kneeling for the national anthem.
The red unis sport the number 45 on the front and back, with “Trump” sewn across the back shoulders.
“Standup for America” is embroidered in white and blue on the chest and an American flag is sewn onto the sleeve.
“Our theme originated out of President Trump’s love for the American flag and his fervent belief that Americans should always stand for our National Anthem,” said Lara Trump, senior advisor for Donald J. Trump for President Inc.
Share this all over Facebook and Twitter if you would proudly buy one of President Trump’s pro-National Anthem jerseys!
