Just one year into President Trump’s presidency, there have already been massive differences between him and former President Barack Obama in how they handle invitations and events.
And the agendas of the two president’s have manifested through the kids that they’ve invited to Washington D.C.
President Trump invited and welcomed a 12-year-old boy named Preston Sharp, who comes from Redding, California, to his first State Of The Union address, noting the kid’s incredible achievement of placing over 40,000 flags and red carnations on the graves of United States soldiers.
“Preston Sharp was visiting his veteran grandfather’s grave in 2015 when he noticed that other local veterans were not being honored with American flags or flowers,” the White House said in its statement. “Today, Preston has organized the placement of more than 40,000 American flags and red carnations on soldiers’ graves.”
“I knew I wanted to do something, because if it wasn’t for them fighting for us then we wouldn’t be here,” the patriotic young boy told the media.
Obama’s guest was entirely different.
The 44th president invited and welcomed a boy named Ahmed Mohamed (a.k.a. “Clock Boy”) to the White House — a boy who disassembled a functioning Radio Shack clock, placed the clock in an unlabeled black box, scared his teacher and school into thinking it was a bomb, cried for the camera when being detained by police, and sued people like Ben Shapiro who didn’t succumb to the “Islamaphobia” narrative being pushed.
Glenn Beck perfectly surmised the entire incident a few days afterwards on his radio show, based on the cumulation of facts that had been disclosed by the police, the school, and the teachers:
“It was not a science fair, it was not a science project. Ahmed was not asked to make the clock. There was no reason to make it. He brought it to one of his teachers. The teacher did not say, “Oh, my gosh, Johnny, that’s such a great clock.” The teacher saw it and he said, “What are you doing, bringing this to school? This is wholly inappropriate. Go put that in your locker and never bring it out again.” He didn’t. He brings it to another class, and it starts to count down. The teacher is freaking out, like, “What is that?” He’s brought into the principal’s office. I can’t tell you the details of the principal’s office because the family will not agree to let the details be released because he’s a minor.
“Now, let me tell you what I can share with you. His activist father, who, by the way, ran for president of the Sudan twice. He is a guy who is in with CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood. He is an activist. His activist father has pulled him and his two siblings out of the school here in Irving, Texas.”
Trump brought a patriotic California kid to the White House — a kid who cherishes everything the flag stands for and the U.S. veterans who gave their life to protect and defend the greatest country in the world.
Obama brought the pawn of a Muslim Brotherhood activist to the White House.
That should say everything you need to know about the difference in President Trump and former President Obama.
