Navy Bomb Disposal Veteran Exposes Fatal Flaws With Explosives Sent To Dems

Many on the right are growing suspicious of the “suspicious devices” that have been sent to a growing number of prominent Democrats around the country, including the residences of Bill and Hillary Clinton, Eric Holder and CNN’s New York office.

A self-described former Navy officer who worked in EOD (bomb disposal) took to Twitter to explain why there are so many questions surrounding this situation that quickly unfolded Wednesday morning. His observations are just that — observations. They aren’t meant for conspiracy thought, but they should make any reasonably intelligent person think a bit more critically about the situation.

Tom Sauer lays out his thoughts in order:

1. (THREAD)

A few observations from a former bomb disposal officer (i.e. Me):

1. Proper pipe bombs don’t have wires connected to both ends. That’s dumb.

2. You can find timers / remote control receivers WAY smaller than whatever that white box is. A proper timer would best be stored inside the pipe, making it fully encapsulated. That thing is just silly looking.

3. Bottom Line: Whoever made that wanted it to be painfully obvious to anyone and everyone that it’s a “bomb.”

This is nearly the same as a bundle of road flares wrapped together with an old-timey alarm clock ticking away.

4. “Hoax Devices” are FAR more common than real ones. In which case, we should ask ourselves what the motives of the “bomber” are and “who benefits?”

Go ahead. Think deeply and critically.

Here’s the official version of his Tweets:

He then followed up his list with a reply to someone who pointed out the strange conditions to where a journalist was able to take pictures of the “bomb” not long after it was discovered.

He indicates that it was likely not taken by a law enforcement official and also raised the question why the journalist was able to take such a worry and care free picture of the device.
