The nation waited for President Trump to respond to actress Roseanne Barr’s tweets, one of which was labeled “racist,” during his Nashville, TN rally on Tuesday night. Thankfully, he decided to skip that subject and give it time to cool off.
However, Wednesday morning, Trump released a surprise response to the situation — a response that has the left up in arms like never before.
He pointed out something that we’ve seen happen over and over again… the liberal double standard — which is especially prevalent in today’s media landscape. And don’t get us wrong — that’s not us defending Roseanne’s tweet, because quite frankly we feel it was not an appropriate tweet, but it raises questions about ABC’s almost instant decision to part ways with Roseanne and her mega-popular new show.
President Trump raised those same concerns in a tweet that was just published moments ago…
The Hill reports:
President Trump on Wednesday accused ABC of a double standard in its decision to cancel the hit sitcom “Roseanne,” whose star Roseanne Barr is a vocal Trump supporter and has come under fire for a racist tweet she sent earlier in the week.
“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?” Trump tweeted.
