Through the concentrated efforts of the “Boycott The NFL” movement on Facebook, combined with millions of other ticked-off Americans who decided to turn off football games, stop buying jerseys and tickets, the NFL is finally realizing they’re going down the drain… fast.
So it’s no surprise that the league, which has taken major hits in ratings over the past 2 weeks, is now considering a game-changing new national anthem rule.
The owners of the NFL are reportedly considering a rule change that would make it mandatory for players to stand during the national anthem.
A league spokesman said that the owners would discuss the potential change during a meeting next week, Dow Jones reported.
In recent seasons, primarily black professional football players have knelt during the national anthem to protest racial inequality in the United States. The protests started after former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick last year began kneeling during the anthem to protest police mistreatment of black Americans.
Earlier Tuesday, President Donald Trump tweeted that tax laws should be changed so that the NFL doesn’t get “massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country.”
Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country? Change tax law!

SHARE this on Facebook and Twitter if you think the NFL should enact this rule immediately and more importantly, enforce it!
Also, here’s the official “I Don’t Kneel” t-shirt (we have hoodie, long-sleeve and v-neck options, too!) that has part of the proceeds going to the National Coalition of Homeless Veterans!
