President Donald Trump has held nothing back about his desire to see all Americans respect this country’s flag and national anthem ever since Colin Kaepernick chose to start a disrespectful anti-American movement that would ignite a massive debate.
More than once our commander in chief has called out the NFL and other athletes who think it’s ok to disrespect our flag and our troops and blame it on “oppression,” while at the same time they pull in millions of dollars per year to throw a football around with their buddies.
What he recently tweeted was perhaps the most powerful image yet — one that should remind any American on either side of the political aisle how important it is to show the respect that our troops have earned with their patriotic blood.
President Donald Trump wants NFL players who kneel during the national anthem to see a tweeted photo of a woman lying next to her husband’s grave in a military cemetery, he said Thursday.

How exactly the powerful Sept. 16 photo ended up on the president’s Twitter feed is unclear, but he immediately endorsed it.
So beautiful….Show this picture to the NFL players who still kneel! https://t.co/tJLM1tvbvb

Trump has made repeated calls since October for NFL players to stand during the national anthem. The kneeling protests were first propelled by former quarterback Colin Kaepernick who wanted to protest violence against black citizens by police officers.
Trump has suggested the NFL change its rules to bar kneeling and has encouraged team owners to fire kneeling players.
