More cell phone video has emerged from the Las Vegas concert massacre. In the video, a man fleeing the scene is recording when he appears to spot the gunman.
The footage was uploaded to LiveLeak with the caption, “A friend share this with me, he was at Las Begas for his birthday and wittiness the thing. He was on his way to a the casino where the shooting took place and recorded this.”
The gunman opened fire on the outdoor festival crowd from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino across Las Vegas Boulevard during the closing performance by singer Jason Aldean.
The shooter, whose motive remains unknown, was 64-year-old Stephen Paddock of Mesquite, Nevada. He was found dead in his hotel room with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. With 59 fatalities (including the perpetrator) and 530 injuries, the massacre surpassed the 2016 Orlando nightclub shooting as the deadliest mass shooting by a lone gunman in U.S. history.
