New Pictures Show Billy Graham Was a Humble Man Throughout All His Days

Despite amassing millions of dollars in book sales over his lengthy career, Billy Graham always resorted to leading a humble lifestyle — even to the very end.

In fact, his childhood home was the same size of his final home.

Born in a little two-story house in Charlotte, North Carolina, he entered the world humble and left even humbler, finishing his last days in a small home in Montreal, NC.

Graham bought the house 1987 and has lived in it ever since. Here’s a photo of the reverend right after purchasing his new residence:

He often spent time on his porch, reading his bible:

Other pastors — some of whom have an enormous television audience — can’t quite say the same. For example, Houston mega-church preacher Joel Osteen owns a shockingly-large mansion worth $10.5 million.

It’s so gigantic, an aerial photograph is require to capture size:

Other mega-church pastors have followed the same path of Joel Osteen — but Billy Graham was one-of-a-kind.

He preached on the humility and salvation that came through Gospel message and he lived it out daily.

“The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith,” Graham said in a sermon years ago.

“Success is always dangerous, and we need to be alert and avoid becoming the victims of our own success. Will we influence the world for Christ, or will the world influence us?”

Graham never stopped preaching the message of Jesus Christ — His sinless life, sacrificial death, and victory over death — and will be a major reason millions more will enter the pearly gates.
