Kim Jong Un is quite the character, but what we learned today about his trip to Singapore is getting better by the hour.
Apparently he brought his own toilet along, which is beyond bizarre, but wait until you see the reason why.
Fox News Insider reports:
Bret Baier shared an interesting factoid about Kim Jong Un’s trip to the Singapore Summit: the famously-reclusive North Korean leader brings his own toilet on foreign trips so no one can examine his excrement.
According to South Korean’s Chosun Media, the portable toilet is part of a meticulous travel process meant to ensure secrecy.
First to arrive in Singapore was an IL-76 transport plane carrying food and other essentials for Kim as well as his bullet-proof limousine and a portable toilet that will deny determined sewer divers insights into to the supreme leader’s stools.
Three planes left North Korea Sunday and it was unclear which one carried the dictator, who has only left the country three times since assuming power in 2011. Kim then went on a late-night tour of Singapore with his sister, Kim Yo Jong, and other top deputies.
A former North Korean guard told the Washington Post that the personal toilet is brought along to make sure no one can glean any information about the 33-year-old heavy smoker’s health.
“Rather than using a public restroom, the leader of North Korea has a personal toilet that follows him around when he travels,” said Lee Yun-keol, who worked in a North Korean Guard Command unit before coming to South Korea in 2005.
“The leader’s excretions contain information about his health status so they can’t be left behind,” Lee said.
The aircraft carrying Kim reportedly took a longer route Sunday through China in order to ensure maximum protection.
Kim left the St. Regis hotel at night and visited the Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, accompanied by Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and Education Minister Ong Ye Kung.
Balakrishnan posted a selfie of the trio on Facebook with the caption: “#Jalanjalan #guesswhere?”
