JUST IN: Laura Ingraham To Make Special Announcement

Fox News rising star Laura Ingraham is about to return from her extended, somewhat surprise “Easter break” after a previous week filled with controversy surrounding teen anti-gun activist David Hogg.

There’s no telling what she’ll announced, but you can be sure she’ll have a lot to say about it. Last week, Fox News took a stand for their primetime anchor.

DailyWire reports:

On Monday, The Daily Wire learned that Fox News host Laura Ingraham will address the recent controversy over her tweet when she returns to her show tonight.

A source at Fox News confirmed to The Daily Wire that tonight at 10 p.m. EST, Ingraham will address the backlash surrounding her tweet that said Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg “whined” because he didn’t get accepted into a handful of California colleges.

Ingraham’s tweet from March 28 stated: “David Hogg Rejected By Four Colleges To Which He Applied and whines about it. (Dinged by UCLA with a 4.1 GPA…totally predictable given acceptance rates.)”

In response, Hogg, a far-left activist, launched a boycott of the companies that advertise on her show, “The Ingraham Angle,” which led to approximately 18 companies pulling their ads from the show.

In a separate tweet, Ingraham apologized for her tweet about Hogg as she noted that she was the first news program to give him national airtime where she mentioned how poised he was given the tragedy.

Fox News came out in support of Ingraham last week, as the network’s co-president, Jack Abernethy, issued the following statement:

We cannot and will not allow voices to be censored by agenda-driven intimidation efforts. We look forward to having Laura Ingraham back hosting her program next Monday when she returns from spring vacation with her children.

Even progressive talk show host Bill Maher, who does not like Ingraham, came out in defense of her against Hogg’s boycotts.

“He complains about bullying? That’s bullying!” Maher said on Friday. “I have been the victim of a boycott. … I’ve lost a job as a result. It is wrong.”
